Around a year has now passed since I changed my thoughts and ideas about photography. For me it was a kind of enjoying my time to capture colorful photos, maybe nice moments and even nice landscapes.
But now, photography is something more serious for me in life. I use it to express myself, to document life events and more important to tell stories!
When capturing people photos I face some difficulties in communicating with them and sometimes I don’t feel comfortable to take a photo of someone and just turn around and go away, or just say thank you for letting me taking your photo! I really feel guilty.
Inspired by Portrait Equality project, I found a way that I consider, it is helping me to overcome these difficulties. The idea is to use an Instant Photo camera so I can give people their photos directly as a gift. For this purpose I bought a Fuji instax mini 7S, and decided to use it in our 12 days road trip to Saudi Arabia.
I can say that I SUCCEEDED TO FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE WITH PEOPLE, GET THEIR STORIES AND A BIG SMILE .
It’s not the only way, but one of the easiest and creative ways… Try it and share your stories!
