We took a short boat tour to Bu Maher fort located in southern Muharraq city. Though the site is simple, the boat tour was a great way to make us happy.

The Ministry of Culture succeeded in inscribing this site as a World Heritage Site in 2012. This site represents a testimony of around seven thousand years of pearling history in the Arabian gulf. The visitors center located next to the fort is the starting point to discovering the Pearling Road.

Tips

  • You can buy a ticket at Bahrain national museum reception for 1 BD.
  • The boats depart daily from Bahrain National Museum between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM to take passengers to the Bu Maher Visitors Center.

Upon returning from there we produce this short film hope you enjoy it!

Bu Maher trip looks interesting! How long did the boat ride take? How many can fit in the boat?

Boat ride take about 5 minutes to reach Bu Maher fort, and you can stay there for 20-30 minutes.
The boat fits around 10-12 person.

you can buy the tickets in Bahrain national museum entrance (1BD/person)

      Enjoy it 🙂
